Depending on where you live, there’s between two or three months left in the school year. That means there’s two or three months worth of school lunches to make. If you’re anything like us, you’ve been making the same things for awhile now and you AND your kids are getting kind of bored. Fortunately, we’re here with a few super easy ideas on how to get out of the boring lunch routine and make your kids’ lunches (and your own!) more exciting.
Use a theme–It can be a season, a holiday, a book, or something as simple as trucks. Check out this school supplies-themed lunch from Lunchbox Dad:
Pick a Color–Between packaged goods and nature’s candy, there are so many ways to pick a color for the lunch and build a healthy, well-balanced meal around it. Check out this super-green lunch from My_rny_journey84.
Accessorize–Just like a nice outfit, a beautiful lunch needs the right accessories. Cupcake holders, toothpicks, and googly eyes are just some of the simple accessories you can add to your child’s lunch to make it fun with almost no extra effort. Check out the accessory-filled lunch from OhSoPosh.
Employ your cookie cutters–Cookie cutters are for so much more than cookies. They can transform a sandwich and carrots into something so special, like in this lunch from Kinderlunch.
Add some extra Love–Lunchbox Love for Kids is the easiest and most powerful way to make your child’s lunch fun! Every card is different and has a unique message on the front and fun fact or joke on the back. Check them out here.
