Sunday Suppers with Lunchbox Love – Cranberry Salsa

I usually post dinner on the Sunday Supper blog but today I decided to feature an appetizer! This may help you more as we are in the season of get togethers and parties. This easy appetizer is delicious and I actually searched for it after enjoying it at a recent party I went to. It’s festive and yummy and you know me, EASY to make! Hope it will make planning your get togethers a little easier this holiday season! Your guests will love it! I found it on the Cooking with Curls site.

  • 12 Ounce package frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 green onions (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves (chopped)
  • 1 jalepeno pepper (seeded and finely chopped)
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 8 Ounce package cream cheese (regular or dairy-free)
  • assorted crackers


  1. Place cranberries and sugar into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Pulse until coarsely chopped.
  3. Place cranberries and sugar into the bowl of a food processor.
  4. In a medium bowl, stir together cranberry mixture, green onions, jalapeno, cilantro, and lime juice.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  6. When ready to serve, place softened cream cheese on a serving plate. Using a slotted spoon, drain salsa and pour over the top of the cream cheese.
  7. Serve with assorted crackers.
